Job Title
Lead Electrical Engineer – Power Systems
Location: Atlanta, GA
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Electrical Engineer with a strong background in Power System Analysis to support our growing portfolio of commercial projects. This role is ideal for a candidate who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and mentorship skills. The Engineer will be responsible for helping more junior engineers grow and develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed power system analyses including short circuit, load flow, coordination, arc flash, and voltage drop calculations.
- Develop electrical system models using tools such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and project managers to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Provide quality control and peer reviews for electrical designs and studies.
- Mentor and train junior electrical engineers, providing guidance on design practices, analysis methods, and project execution.
- Support proposal development, design charrettes, and client-facing meetings as a technical lead.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- 7 plus years of electrical design with a focus on power systems for commercial buildings.
- Proficiency with power analysis software such as SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or EasyPower.
- Proven leader and ability to mentor junior staff.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- PE or EIT with ability to gain PE soon after hire.
